History of the MiniMax & MiniMost - Today’s boating is a very expensive hobby or sport. To enjoy our water sports which as we all know is seasonal, we pay from $1000 up and beyond $50-$70,000+. Whether it's fishing, water skiing, or yachting, it hits hard in the pocket book. In the late 50’s and early 60’s William D. Jackson introduced the two famous SeaFleas known today as the Minimost and Minimax. They were a big hit then, but as years went by other boats took in the limelight and put the two SeaFleas back on the back shelf. A few years later, I had Cub Scout and Girl Guide groups asking what projects would be good for father, son, daughter to do together. So after a lot of pondering, I suggested the two SeaFleas. They all thought it was great! What a success! Plans & Full Size Patterns Now Available! - I went back to the drawing board and now offer full size patterns for replicas of these boats. My patterns have been a big hit. I have sent may overseas, local and to a lot of groups with children doing school projects. What's Included - Included in the package is a complete set of full-sized patterns, building plans and a booklet to help guide you through the building process. The feed back I have had has been exciting . Because of the ideal size of theses two boats, they are excellent starters for all youngsters who are itching to get into racing. Because of their great contours, it allows you to get the feel of being close to the water at a safe speed.
